Biography of Lela Rose
Lela Rose, an American fashion designer, was born in Texas in the early 1970s and grew up in Dallas.
She studied painting and sculpture at the University of Colorado and graduated in 1991.

As a student, she started her own small business, sewing vests from vintage scarves, but eventually decided to pursue a career in fashion instead of painting. She moved to New York and attended Parsons School of Design, graduating in 1993.
After completing her education, Rose worked as an assistant designer for Christian Francis Roth and Richard Tyler, gaining experience in both New York and Los Angeles.
In 1998, she launched her first collection under her own label, 'Lela Rose', featuring women's clothing with elaborate embellishments and details. Her goal from the beginning was to create clothing with classic silhouettes and unique elements.
